#70: It's all about teamwork
Hello competitors,
It’s been a chaotic few weeks. But if there is one thing you can rely on, it’s an (un)healthy dose of cartoons. Like these.
This week, we see AI take on an interesting vocation, and we look and the quandaries of a couple of visiting mosquitos.
Flying in and flying out,
Chris

Caption: “Wait, is one of us AI?”
FINGERS! It’s all in the FINGERS!
And also in the extra arms, legs and, sometimes, heads. And it’s all in AI-generated images. It’s even worse when you realise a member of your team is also AI.
How many fingers am I holding up?
A little artist’s note: I know this one looks simple, but believe me, it wasn’t simple to draw. It needed a certain angle to really get right. And that angle needed to show off that this was a group huddle for a basketball game, and that one of the hands had seven fingers.
This was a recent New Yorker reject, and normally I would try and shop these around elsewhere, but I just really wanted to get this one out into the world while excess fingers were still a thing with AI. So, uh, enjoy?

Do mosquitos have manners?
And we’ve all been there. You know, the door is open and we can just wander in, but do we wait until we’re invited? Do we need to? Should we? And then how long do we wait before it gets awkward?
Probably too long. Can you relate?
A little artist’s note: Much like my previous mosquito cartoon, which was actually drawn after this one, the challenge is that people probably don’t know what a mosquito actually looks like close up. But, these guys, well thanks to the last mosquito cartoon, these guys are stars. Unmistakable, right?
Visually, I’ve kept this one pretty simple. The important thing is the perspective. If the mosquito is too small, you wouldn’t know it was them talking. Without perspective, it just wouldn’t work.
You know, assuming it works at all.
