#85: Sell Out
Hello bargain-hunters,
I’m still on a much-needed vacation/holiday this week so here are a few favourites from my reject collection.
This week we see a game show for the unshowered, and we start to worry about a particular sale.
Priced out of the market,
Chris

Could it be… me? Or maybe it’s you.
I’m currently on holiday in a very hot and tropical location. It’s wonderful, but it also leads to a lot of sweat. And with that sweat comes, well, smell. And then the first thing I have to ask myself is: Is the smell me?
Sadly, the answer is often a resounding ‘yes’.
A little artist’s note: I really like a good Game Show cartoon. The format kind of allows for all sorts of twists on common problems. And, for me, this was the most common and prominent issue that a game show needed to address. The issue of stench.
Visually this one is pretty simple, but it did involve the challenge of coming up with ailments that could be done on a podium. And poor Pete, his shoes stinking. Maybe.

It’s almost Black Friday! The time when everything is on sale. And I mean everything.
But have you ever worried about the cost of those sales? Perhaps it’s squeezing a supplier, or perhaps it’s a push toward madness. Or perhaps it’s a bit of both.
Whatever the outcome, I think we should all be worried about Barry.
A little artist’s note: When I was a kid, there was a jewelers shop which, at least once a year, had a world-ending closing down sale. And it seemed like it was a good, never to be repeated, deal.
But, then, as it happened more and more frequently, all without the shop closing down, we all started to see through the disguise. Like it was just part of the show. Kind of like the madness of Black Friday.
Visually, this one also has a bit of fun with perspective, but, perhaps more notably, you’ll also see the heads are once again pretty moon-like. However, unlike last week, this was actually a bit intentional as I wanted their heads to match the bulky polo shirts that come with giant big box ‘megastores’.
